Although new owners loved their Pettit and Sevitt Low Line project home, their growing family needed more space. The challenge was how to add to the original, respect it yet do it in a more contemporary style. The guiding design principle was - if the original architect was asked to make such changes, what would he do.

The original rectilinear form was used to create a garage and master bedroom suite, and a kitchen and rumpus room. New dark painted durable and sustainable timber cladding contrasts the original white bagged brickwork.

Although from different eras, the end result is a unified whole.
